Project investigates, prosecutes Internet sexual predators
Project Safe Childhood is an initiative that coordinates federal, state and local law enforcement agencies to investigate and prosecute sexual predators who use the Internet to exploit children. The project began May 17, 2006, and is implemented through a partnership of U.S. Attorneys offices; Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) task forces; FBI, U.S. Postal Inspection Service, Immigration and Customs Enforcement and the U.S. Marshals Service; advocacy organizations such as the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC); and other state and local law enforcement officials.
