MT. ZION, ILLINOIS - Arthur Joseph Reynolds, 68, of Mt. Zion, died Monday, June 13, 2005 at St. Mary's Hospital in Decatur.

Graveside Services will be held at 9 a.m. Thursday, June 16, 2005 at the Arthur Cemetery where military rites will be accorded; followed by a Memorial Service at 10 a.m. Thursday at the Arthur Mennonite Church, 710 E. Park Street, Arthur.

Visitation will be held Wednesday from 2 to 4 p.m and 5 to 7 p.m. with Masonic rites at 7 p.m by AF&AM Lodge #979 of Decatur at the Shrader Funeral Home, 431 S. Vine Street, Arthur.

Mr. Reynolds was born July 28, 1936 in Bonne Terre, Missouri, the son of Otto and Hazel Sinuard Reynolds. He married Lela Miller in Arthur on Oct. 25, 1985. She survives.

Besides his wife, Lela, of Mt. Zion, he is survived by son Clark Reynolds and wife Lisa of Arnold, Missouri; daughter, Darla Kopp of Park Hills, Missouri; four grandchildren: Ashley and Abi Kopp, Michael and Chris Reynolds; brother, Eugene Reynolds of Farmington, Missouri; and sister, Laverne Jones of Arcadia, Missouri. He was preceded in death by his parents; two: sisters, Alice Hampton and Linda Gottman; and two brothers Pete and Leslie Reynolds.

Mr. Reynolds retired from the US Air Force after 20 years on Oct. 31, 1974, having served in Korea and Viet Nam. He was a member of the Arthur Mennonite Church; member of the Laborers Local #159 of Decatur; a 25-year member of the AF&AM Lodge #979 of Decatur; and a lifetime member of the Clarence E. Dooley VFW Post of Bismarck, Missouri.

Memorials are suggested to the Arthur Mennonite Church.
