Raiders place fifth, Rebels sixth in Notre Dame Tourney

JACKSON - Six MAAA Conference golf teams participated in the Notre Dame Tournament held Monday at the Bent Creek Golf Course in Jackson. There were 16 teams playing in all. The North County Raiders led the MAAA schools with a fifth-place score of 362, 10 strokes ahead of sixth-place Central. Farmington was ninth with a 395. Fredericktown placed 13th at 402 with Ste. Genevieve (409) and Valle (420) coming in 14th and 15th respectively.
Poplar Bluff won the tournament with a score of 307. Cape Central was second 318, and Jackson finished third at 322. Dexter took fourth at 347.
North County was led by Jake Black with an 80, Cory Claywell shot a 92, and Dustin Gray and Luke Elders both shot 95's'. Caleb Barron's score of 99 was not needed for the team score.
Central's Blake Stevens shot a 90, Justin Bowers came in at 93, Will McDowell at 94 and Kory Marler at 95. Fredericktown was led by Chase Dunivan with a 91. Clay Street shot 95, Jared Williams a 107, and both Kyle Politte and Logan Rogers scored 109 each.
Farmington's Brian Gallagher was the team's best at 87.
