Raiders win tri-match, Rebels and Blackcats play in tourney

TERRE DU LAC - The North County Raiders and the Arcadia Valley Tigers played their best round of golf on Thursday. Windsor was also involved in the match. North County won the tri-match with a score of 156, Arcadia Valley took second with an 167, and Windsor finished with an 182.

North County's Jake Black and Arcadia Valley's Jordan McLaurin shared medalist honors with a 35. Black had two birdies, and McLaurin finished the round with four birdies.

Cory Claywell posted a 37 for the Raiders, and Josh Harrison shot a 41. Dustin Gray and Caleb Barron both ended the day with a 43, and Luke Elders had a round of 47.

Abe Warren recorded a score of 38 for the Tigers which included a couple of birdies. Justin Sutton had a 45, and Adrian Davis shot a 49. Chase Bennett finished with a score of 55, and Kassie Walker had a 57.

North County will participate in the Sikeston tournament on Monday. Arcadia Valley will host Viburnum the same day.

Warrenton Invitational

WARRENTON - The Central Rebels and the Fredericktown Blackcats participated in the 21-team Warrenton Invitational on Thursday. Central was tied for 11th place with a 345, and Fredericktown took 15th with a score of 353. First place went to Washington (306), Francis Howell Central finished in second (315), and Francis Howell and Bowling Green were both tied for third place (318).

Blake Stevens and Wil McDowell both shot an 82 for the Rebels, and Tory Marler finished with an 85. Matt Watkins posted a score of 96, and Ron Baker finished with a score of 100.

Chase Dunham recorded a round of 83 for the Blackcats, Logan Royer shot an 87, and Clay Street added a 91. Kyle Politte finished one stroke higher than Street, and Jerod Williams ended the day with a 97.

Central will visit Ste. Genevieve on Tuesday for a conference match. Fredericktown will travel to Valle on Monday.
