Charles Van Waardhuizen

FARMINGTON — Charles Wayne Van Waardhuizen of Farmington passed away on Tuesday, August 28, 2007, at Barnes-Jewish Hospital, at the age of 58 years, He was born on April 9,1949, in Oskaloosa, lA, the son of the late Milton Arie Van Waardhuizen and Esther (Wichhart) Van Waardhuizen-Jansen. He was also preceded in death by a daughter, Michele Lee Van Waardhuizen, a brother, John Van Waardhuizen. a niece, Leslie Jabaai, and step-father, Jake Jansen.
Mr. Van Waardhuizen was a motorcycle enthusiast and a member of the Festus H.O.G. Chapter. He was a member of the Farmington Presbyterian Church. Mr. Van Waardhuizen also served his country in the U. S. Army Reserves.
He is survived by his wife, Frances Terpstra Van Waardhuizen, a son, Aaron Michael Van Waardhuizen, two daughters and their husbands, Walter and Kimberly Sue Rector, and Chad and Kara Lynn Mills, all of Farmington, two grandsons, Dallan Lee Rector, and Tyler Jacob Rector, granddaughter, Madison Michele Mills, two sisters, Loretta Jabaai (Laurence) of Fishers, IN, and Karen Kaldenberg (Joe) of Pella, IA. Numerous cherished nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends also survive.
Friends may call at Cozean Memorial Chapel from 5 to 9 p.m. on Thursday, August 30, 2007. A Visitation will be held at the Van Dyk-Duven Funeral Home, Pella, IA, on Saturday, September 1, 2007. A funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. at the 1st Christian Reformed Church in Pella, IA. Burial will be at the Oakwood Cemetery in Pella, IA.
