Marching bands to meet and compete

At 12:30 p.m. that Saturday 23 bands will take the field for competition on Jack Richardson Field at Haile Memorial Stadium. Field awards will be presented at 7 p.m.
The host Black Knight Marching band will perform in exhibition 15 minutes prior to the awards. Admission for the event at the high school will be $3 for adults and $2 for school aged children. Proceeds benefit the Farmington Band Boosters.
The categories for bands is based on each school’s enrollment numbers.
Bands scheduled to participate in the event include Union, DeSoto, Waterloo, Sullivan, Potosi, and Windsor in the White Division; Poplar Bluff, Hillsboro, Sikeston, St. Charles, Cape Central, North County, and Summit in the Black Division; and Fox, Jefferson City, Fort Zumwalt West, Mehlville, Alton, Lindbergh, Marquette, Oakville, Fort Zumwalt North, and Lafayette in the Gold Division.
Tickets can be purchased on the morning of the event.
