Cub-Arama Countdown
Three weeks to go until annual event
September is already here and the countdown to JP’s 6th Midwest Cub-Arama has begun. Hopefully you have noticed the bright banners that are hanging on the lamppost around the Court Square as well as down North Main St. Tomorrow marks three weeks until the set up day, but don’t be surprised to see trailers full of tractors rolling into town even earlier in the week. Set up day is Thursday, September 27th and the two full show days are Friday, September 28th and Saturday, September 29th.

This year’s show is looking to be another amazing event. Just to give you a taste of what to expect, here are a few of this year’s highlights.

HUNDREDS of International Harvester/Farmall Cub and Cub Cadets from all over the U.S. and Canada. Also, don’t forget that ANY IH item is welcome to show this year in any running condition.

TRACTOR Cruise around town.

KIDDIE Tractor pull to take place on Saturday, September 29. (Exact time will be posted in future issue of the DN with full schedule of events).

TRACTOR Pull - Lions Club will be hosting an out of field tractor pull on Saturday, September 29. Weigh in will begin at 9am. (For more information contact Eli at 573-631-0691)

CUB Go Round -  which is a wonderful opportunity for kids and adults to get an up close look at a Farmall Cub tractor and even ride on one.

DEMONSTRATIONS will be through out the weekend, anything from field demonstrations to how to fix a minor problem on your tractor.

PARADE - great chance to see these wonderful tractors move. Saturday, September 29 (Full route and time will be in future issue of the DN) Also any group or business is welcome to join us with a float.

VENDERS will be on hand with a great selection of new and used IH parts and other merchandise.

SWAP MEET is a nice chance to sell or trade extra IH items you may have or get a great buy on someone else’s. Will be on site and all provided by LOCAL organizations. Delicious items at great prices. All support is needed.

Keep an eye out in the DN over the next few weeks for more updates on what to expect and a full schedule of events. Mark your calendars now to come down to JC Park the last weekend of the month. Last year there were 281 tractors from 25 states and Canada into our small community. Lets get together to show our local support and enjoy this exciting chance to relax and have a great family fun weekend right here at home. For more information contact Jamie Hargis at 783-7055 days or 783-7281 in the evenings or check out the link on the web at www.jptractorsalvage.com.
