Lady Indians record 15th win

BISMARCK — The Bismarck volleyball enjoyed a powerful night at the net, and posted a dominant 25-11, 25-13 home victory over an upstart West County squad.

Brooke Taylor hammered down 18 kills and made four blocks with five digs defensively, and Kelly Williams compiled 24 assists for the Lady Indians (15-3-1). Holly Blunt led Bismarck with seven digs and seven points, while Lacee Vester tallied four kills, and Heather Gamblin brought up five digs.

Kara Harrison made 10 digs and two blocks, and served three aces while matching teammate Ashlee Roney with six points each. Becca Appel recorded 12 digs and two kills for West County (7-3).

Arcadia Valley 2, Kingston 0

CADET
— Kassie Walker played a strong all-around match with nine kills, nine digs and eight points to lead surging Arcadia Valley past Kingston, 25-6, 25-17 in convincing fashion.

Loren Goggin drilled six kills and matched Jaycee Haus with six service points, while Candis Kirby did the majority of the setting with 13 assists. Courtney Rice also recorded two kills for the Lady Tigers (15-2-1).

Valle 2, Valley 1

CALEDONIA
— The Valley Lady Vikings may have played their best contest of the season, but it wasn’t enough to upset the Valle Lady Warriors. Valle outlasted the home team 25-23, 14-25, 25-13.

“This was the best ballgame we have played all the way around,” said Valley Coach Caley Yount. “Last year we went to Valle and they beat us 25-1 in one of the games. For us to play them as tight as we did tonight and push it to three games, I’m very proud of the girls.”

Kelly Hermann led Valle with 15 points, 25 digs and three kills. Racheal Naeger had six points, six digs and eight assists. Natalie Fallert had 14 digs, five points, three kills and 12 receptions. Hannah Kuenzel led in kills with five.

Candace Isgrig led the way for Valley with 14 points and eight digs. Tiffany Martin had 11 points, eight assists and six digs. Sarah Kearns had eight points, 12 kills, two blocks and four digs.

Rebecca Neier had seven points, six kills, three blocks and six digs. Taylar Turner scored six points, two kills and three digs. Kaitlin Holbert had 11 points, two kills and three digs.

Lesterville 2, Potosi 0

LESTERVILLE
— Potosi fought back to nearly force a decisive third game at Lesterville on Thursday, but ultimately fell 25-16, 28-26 to the Lady Bearcats.

Abby Adams collected five kills and Tiffany Johnson added four with three blocks to lead Potosi (4-8-1) at the net. Lauren Aubuchon also knocked down four kills while matching Stephanie McGirl with five service points.

Setter Meghan Yarbrough dished out 15 assists, and Casey Nivens led the defense with seven digs.
