Bert Lynn McClanahan

BISMARCK — We are so sad to announce the passing of Bert McClanahan at the age of 76, on Nov. 23, 2007. Bert was the son of the deceased David and Maudie McClanahan. He was preceded in death by 5 brothers: Raymond, Leaman, Murrell, Frank and William, also one sister: Bethel (Mrs. George) Brannam.
Bert proudly served his nation in the US Air Force for 25 years and was a member of the Bismarck VFW Post #6947 and the Farmington American Legion Post #1000.
He leaves behind his beloved wife, Betty of 55 years. He is also survived by 3 children: Daughters Carol (Mrs. David) Baker of Bismarck, Linda Hubbell of Park Hills and son Steven McClanahan of Collinsville, Illinois. From these children 4 grandchildren: Melinda (Mrs. Andrew) Dugal of Bismarck, Michael McClanahan of Farmington, Rebecca Baker of Bismarck, and Christopher Hubbell of Park Hills. Four great-grandchildren Dalton Dugal, Ethan Dugal, Josephine McClanahan and Daven Middendorf Also a close family friend Robert Kime, one brother Robert McClanahan of Farmington. His great-grandchildren are proud of their Pappaw’s new angel wings.
He has resigned his soul to the Lord and his body to science. There will be no public memorials. The family requests memorials be made to the Bismarck VFW Post #6947 or the Farmington America Legion Post #1000 local directions under Shipman Funeral Home.

Linda, My thoughts and prayers are with you, your Mom & family, no words can make this any easier, but I wanted to let you know I'm thinking of you. Please let me know if you need anything. Many are asking if we can bring food anywhere, please let me know if this is acceptable and where we can bring or have it delivered. Donna
