On March 17, 2008, The Honorable Madison County Commission met pursuant to adjournment on with the following officers present; Presiding Commissioner John Rauls, First District Commissioner Dennis Bradford, and Second District Commissioner Terry Hovis. County Clerk, Don Firebaugh, was present to record the proceedings.
Presiding Commissioner John Rauls called the meeting to order at 9:00 A.M. The following business was transacted.
A motion was made by Commissioner Bradford to accept the agenda as presented. Motion was seconded by Commissioner Hovis. Motion carried by vote: Presiding Commissioner Rauls (yes), Commissioner Bradford (yes), and Commissioner Hovis (yes). Mr. Ed Cockrell from King Commercial will be deleted and placed on next weeks agenda.
Minutes from the last meeting on March 3, 2008 was read by County Clerk, Don Firebaugh. A motion was made by Commissioner Hovis to accept the minutes as presented. The motion was seconded Commissioner Bradford. Motion carried by vote: Presiding Commissioner Rauls (yes), Commissioner Bradford (yes), and Commissioner Hovis (yes).
Mr. Matt Lloyd from Fabick Tractor Company presented the Commission with options and prices on a road grader with governmental pricing and leasing programs.
E-911 Director Bill Starkey reported to the Commission the operational status of equipment in the 911 department. He said that all equipment has been cleaned and is operational. He plans to attend the FEMA and SEMA meeting at Marble Hill, MO on Thursday, March 20, 2008 with other representatives from Madison County.
Ernie Robinson, Acting Supervisor for Madison County Road and Bridge department, reported all work accomplished by his department the past week and the operational status of equipment. He said that one boom-axe is being repaired.
Presiding Commissioner Rauls plans to attend the Ambulance District Committee meeting today at 1:00 P.M. and then the Madison County Commission for Developmentally Disabled (MCCDD) Open House.
First District Commissioner Dennis Bradford said that many roads in District I needs graded.
Second District Commissioner Terry Hovis said he had several calls from residents in District II with limbs down across county roads
Bills from the previous week were presented. Commissioner Hovis made a motion to pay all bills and was seconded by Commissioner Bradford. Motion carried by vote: Presiding Commissioner (Yes), Commissioner Bradford (Yes), and Commissioner Hovis (Yes).
Commissioner Bradford made a motion to abate $ 248.58 erroneous assessments. Commissioner Hovis seconded the motion. The motion passed by vote: Commissioner Rauls (yes), Commissioner Bradford (yes), and Commissioner Hovis (yes).
No further business was transacted.
Commissioner Bradford made a motion to adjourn and was seconded by Commissioner Hovis. Motion carried by vote; Presiding Commissioner Rauls (yes), Commissioner Bradford (yes), and Commissioner Hovis (yes).
Ordered that the Commission adjourn until 9:00 A.M. on March 24, 2008.
