Pillman Receives Map Achievement Scholarship To Attend Southeast
Sunday, March 30, 2008
The MAP Achievement Scholarship is awarded to a student graduating from a Missouri public high school who applies to Southeast, requests the scholarship and enrolls at any campus of Southeast as a full-time regularly admitted beginning freshman in the fall semester immediately following their high school graduation. To be eligible, high school students must have score a proficient level or higher on the 10th grade mathematics or 11th grade communication arts MAP exam. Students must provide a copy of their high school transcript, including their MAP scores, to verify their achievement levels.
The MAP Achievement Scholarship will cover a student’s textbook rental costs for up to five courses per semester and may be combined with the President’s, President’s Plus or Regents’ scholarships. The scholarship may be renewed for up to a maximum of four consecutive years, provided the student maintains a 3.25 cumulative grade point average and completes at least 30 credit hours at Southeast during the academic year.
Pillman will be a 2008 graduate of Fredericktown High School. He is the son of Nancy Pritchett. While at Southeast, Pillman plans on majoring in education.
