Lady Rebels Guard To Join Spartans

Central senior Sara Rieger recently signed a national letter of intent to play basketball at Missouri Baptist University in St. Louis.

Rieger, who helped lead the Lady Rebels to 18 wins this season as a starting guard, and played on a district title team in 2007, plans to major in education and become a math teacher.

Standing behind Rieger are parents Joe and Tammy Hayes, and seated is MBU assistant coach Iris Dixon. Also standing are Central girls basketball coach Matt Bradley, and athletic director Chad Bradley. - Matt King / Daily Journal
