A 19-year-old Potosi woman was killed Sunday morning in a one-vehicle accident on Highway 8 in Washington County.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, a 2000 Jeep Cherokee driven by Abagail Skaggs, 19, Potosi, traveled off the north side of Highway 8 and then skidded off the south side of the roadway. Her vehicle struck an embankment and overturned. Skaggs and her passenger, Gage Skaggs, 1, Potosi, were ejected from the vehicle.

Abagail Skaggs was flown to St. Louis University by Air Evac. She suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead by Dr. John Vandover. Gage Skaggs sustained serious injuries and was flown by Arch Helicopter to Childrens Hospital.
