Continuing education units are available to medical and mental health professionals. Consumers, family members, service providers, direct care staff, peer counselors, human services employees and clergy are invited.
The RESPECT seminar is part of Missouri’s Mental Health Show Me series of programs designed to improve public knowledge, eliminate stigma and empower people to move their lives forward regardless of their illness or disability.
Slack is founder of Respect International and is a trainer in the field of mental health. His work combines 10 years of experience as a senior manager in a state mental health agency with his experience as a person recovered from a psychiatric disability.
