Harold Gene Kopitsky, 64, of Chesterfield, Missouri, died Monday, July 7, 2008, at his home. Harold was born August 22, 1943, in Kansas City. He was the son of Irvin “Babe” and Bess Kopitsky. He married Carol Leman March 15, 1964, in St. Louis.
Preceding Mr. Kopitsky in death were his parents and one son, Scott Alvin Kopitsky.
Survivors include his wife, Carol, of Chesterfield; sister Rita Thiel of Rhinelander, Wisconsin; sister-in-law Helene Keim of Oakville, Missouri; son Alan and daughter-in-law Jane Kopitsky of Fredericktown; grandchildren Morgan and Max Kopitsky of Fredericktown; and nephew Ian Hack of St. Louis. He is also survived by many other relatives and friends.
Harold enjoyed his family, the baseball Cardinals, trips to Harrah’s, trivia contests, and telling jokes and stories.
Graveside services were held Wednesday, July 9, 2008, at Chesed Shel Emeth Cemetery in Chesterfield with Rabbi Lynn Goldstein officiating. Arrangements were handled by Rindskopf-Roth Funeral Home in St. Louis.
