New addition to Truman complete
Thursday, August 28, 2008
The new cafeteria and multi-purpose room at Truman Kindergarten Center officially opened on the first day of school.

For the fist time ever, students were able to eat lunch which was cooked on location. After eating in the new cafeteria, kindergarten student seemed happy. Kirby Fletcher said, “I like the new one because I like yellow.”  Sophie Pullen said, “The new one is not as cold. It smells good.”

Joining the students at the grand opening of the cafeteria was The Projects Review Advisory Committee (PRAC). PRAC is a committee that has been involved in the development of the bond issue projects and meets regularly to discuss construction and renovation proposals.

Farmington R-7 Superintendent Dr. W.L. Sanders and School Board Member Angie Hahn also joined students and PRAC members for lunch on the opening day.

Committee member Gary Cleve said he likes being on the committee so he can be a part of what’s going on in the school district and to make sure the money is going where it needs to go. Committee members include Cleve, Jim Snavely, Sally Sullivan-Shinn, Ron Short and Chuck Carleton.
