The following is a list of events related to the Farmington R-7 School District.

The list includes:

• Buy your own Farmington Knights "Home of the Champions" t-shirt to support the reconstruction and additions that hope to be made to the tennis courts at the high school.  Shirts are $15.  For additional information please contact Andrew Canter at the Farmington High School at 701-1310.

• Thursday, August 28th Farmington Elementary Schools will kick-off the Best Line Fundraiser and it will end on Friday, September 12th.

• Monday, September 1st the Farmington R-7 School District will not be in session to observe Labor Day.

• Friday, September 5th Roosevelt Elementary will hold a trivia night fundraiser.  Doors open at 6:15 and trivia starts at 7:00 pm.  The cost is $10 per person with teams of 8.  For additional information contact Renee Boeckman at 701-9821 or Roosevelt Elementary at 701-1345.

• Tuesday, September 9th Washington-Franklin Elementary will hold a PTG (Parent Teacher Group) meeting at 6:00 pm.

Tuesday, September 9th parents are invited to attend a meeting regarding district MAP scores.  MAP reports will be explained and questions will be answered.  The meeting will be held at Roosevelt Elementary at 6:00 pm.

• Thursday, September 11th Jefferson Elementary will observe Constitution Day.

The Ladies Auxiliary, from the VFW, and the Student Council will present the reading of the Constitution at 9:45 am.

• Thursday, September 11th Lincoln Intermediate Center will have an information meeting for WATCH D.O.G.S.®   (Dads Of Great Students). Students and fathers and father-figures of Lincoln Intermediate Center are invited to attend.  WATCH D.O.G.S. ® is when fathers and father-figures sign up to spend one day this year volunteering, serving as a positive male role model and helping increase a sense of security in the building.  The meeting will begin at 6:00 pm. 

• Monday, September 15thFarmington R-7 Schools will dismiss at 12:00 for teacher professional development.

• Tuesday, September 16th will be picture day at Washington-Franklin Elementary.

• Tuesday, September 16th the Board of Education meeting will be held at 7:00 pm.

• Tuesday, September 16th Lincoln Intermediate Center will have Beginning Band Instrument Display Night.  Marler Music will have rental instruments for beginning band students.  The instruments will be displayed in the Gymnasium beginning at 6:30 pm.

• Tuesday, September 23rd through Thursday, September 25th Washington-Franklin Elementary will hold vision and hearing screenings for first and third grade students.

• Tuesday, September 23rd will be picture day at Jefferson Elementary.

• Wednesday, September 24th and Thursday, September 25th sixth grade students at Lincoln Intermediate Center will have vision and hearing screenings.

• Friday, September 26th the Farmington R-7 School District will celebrate homecoming.  School will dismiss at 12:00 and the parade will begin at 1:00 pm.  Tailgating will begin right after the parade on the football practice field; it is open to the public.  The football game will begin at 7:00 pm the Knights vs. Rockwood Summit.

• Saturday, October 11th the high school Learning Media Center (LMC) will hold an ACT practice test to help students prepare for the ACT.  The test will begin at 9:00 am.  For additional information please contact Susan Webb in the LMC at 701-1310.
