AmHeart Hospice held their fourth annual car wash Aug. 23 to raise money for the Alzheimers Association and the Leadbelt Memory Walk. AmHeart Hospice employees and as well as volunteers hand washed cars to raise $250, all the money goes towards the Leadbelt Memory Walk.

Social worker Sue Rouggly, who organized the event for the fourth year, said “We had a great time at the car wash. The weather cooperated and we had a lot of great people come to see us. We even had someone give us $30 and he didn’t even want his car washed.

“We are very very grateful to the Super 8 Motel and appreciate their cooperation with this event every year.  We are looking forward to doing it again next year and hope to see everyone out at the walk on Sept. 27.”
