Crash caused by medical emergency
A Mineral Point woman sustained moderate injuries in an accident Friday morning on U.S. 67, south of Route JJ, in Jefferson County.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Erin E. Czapla, 27, suffered a medical emergency, causing her 2005 Ford Focus to travel off the right side of the road and strike a tree.
She was wearing a seatbelt when the crash occurred about 7:45 a.m. Friday. She was taken by Joachim Plattin Ambulance to Jefferson Memorial Hospital.
