IT'S FAIR TIME
Thursday, October 2nd; the carnival opens at 5:30 pm and is offering $12.00 armbands until 9:30 pm. 

The Madison County Fair opens Friday, October 3rd at 4:00 pm and includes craft and food booths. Carnival armbands will be $15.00 through 10:00 P.M. There will be an ice cream social and the quilt show sponsored by the Dixie Lee Quilt Guild on the square at 5:30 pm.

The fair opens Saturday, October 4th at 7:45 am with the Livestock Exhibitors Breakfast sponsored by Madison County Farm Supply and the livestock show begins at 8:00 am.

The carnival will open at 6:00 pm with $15.00 armbands on Saturday until 10:00 pm. 

Also beginning at 6:00 pm will be Pickin' on the Square. All craft and food entries need to be on the fair grounds between 4:00 pm and 6:00 pm. Judging begins promptly at 6:00 p.m.

The Carnival will open Saturday events begin at 10:00 am with Antique Tractor Pull sponsored by the Lion's Club, Basketball shootout on Buford St. and the Museum of Natural oddities by Madame Rosa. At 10:30 am The Back Porch Players will be on the Jaycee stage and the games will begin with the Greased Pole sponsored by The Foundation for Historic Preservation. Other events on Saturday are the Jr. Cow Milking Contest sponsored by The Foundation for Historic Preservation, Turtle Races, Baby Crawling, Pumpkin Bowling, and Cracker Whistling Contest all sponsored by Madison County Extension Council. Pre-registration is required and will begin at 1:00 pm.

Jr. Super Farmer Contest (Sponsored by the Farm Bureau Board of Madison County) will begin at 12:30 pm and the Punches Family will take the Jaycee stage at 12:15 pm. The coronation ceremony for Mr. and Miss Madison County will begin 12:45 pm. There will also be an Antique Tractor display courtesy of Tom Mooney and FFA set up at 9:00 am. At 2:00 pm, Rachael Ward will sing the National Anthem on the Jaycee stage to kick off The Bootheel Tractor Pullers Association Professional Truck and Tractor Pull. At 4:00 pm "You Can Be A Star" on the Jaycee stage and at 6:00 pm the Fredericktown High School (FHS) Concert Choir will take place on the Jaycee stage.
