BONNE TERRE — A bright green surface with clean white lines greeted the North County Lady Raiders in their home meet against the visiting Arcadia Valley Lady Tigers on Tuesday. With the season already half over, it was the first time the Lady Raiders held a meet on their new courts.

Arcadia Valley won the meet 6-3, sweeping all three doubles matches and splitting the six singles. Jayne Rey and Anna Reynolds defeated Chelsea Senter and Shelby Mund 8-3 in No. 1 doubles, and Kassie Leahy and Alyssa Waddell were victorious over Alyssa Yates and Alicia Price, 8-1.

Janie Buck and Rachel Reynolds had to battle to overcome a 6-3 deficit and force overtime with North County’s Brittany Ford and Alex Perry. The two pairs battled past the necessary seven points and Buck and Reynolds won the next two for a 9-7 tiebreak win to win the match 9-8.

Mund won the first match on the new courts for North County with an 8-2 singles win over Anna Reynolds, and 15 minutes later Ford won 8-1 over Buck.

Perry collected North County’s third win, but she was put to the test in the very last game by Arcadia Valley’s Whitney Yancy. Yancy and Perry played 13 deuces before Perry was able to finally win a point on her ad-out for a score of 8-4.

Winning their matches for Arcadia Valley were Rey with an 8-3 win over Senter in No. 1 singles, Waddell defeated Yates by a score of 8-3, and Leahy won out over Price 8-4
