Bismarck volleyball records 15th win

LEADWOOD — The Bismarck volleyball team remained unbeaten in MAAA Small-School conference play on Thursday night with a 25-10, 25-14 victory at West County.

Sophomore setter Balee Lorenz compiled impressive totals with 21 points and 16 assists, and junior hitter Brooke Taylor notched eight kills with six blocks for the Lady Indians (15-2-3). Harley Cadwell, Holly Blunt and Megan Counts each made four digs.

Brittany Tongay finished with five points and four digs for West County (3-6). Chelsie Lashley knocked down three kills.



Arcadia Valley 2, Kingston 0

IRONTON
— Arcadia Valley rallied from behind in game two and evened its conference mark at 2-2 on Thursday with a 25-18, 25-23 home triumph over Kingston.

Kaylie King made seven assists and served 10 points, while freshman Madison Mason totaled a team-high 11 points with three kills for Arcadia Valley (5-10-2). Nichole Bone led defensively with 16 digs and Gail Williams added four kills.

Emilee Dicus paced Kingston (3-4) with six kills and 11 points, and Miranda Politte tallied seven assists with nine points. Kelsey Nelson added eight points and three kills.

Valle 2, Valley 0

STE. GENEVIEVE
— Valle dominated the opening stanza at home on Thursday night, and defeated Valley 25-4, 25-20 in conference action.

Junior Taylor Beyatte served 15 points and dished out six assists to lead the Lady Warriors (7-7-1). Hannah Kuenzel and Kelly Hermann each finished with seven points including two aces, and Abbie Bergtholdt recorded four kills for Valle.

Jessica Crocker had three kills and four blocks at the net for Valley (2-8). Danielle Johnson and Loren Rodgers each served two aces.

Ste. Genevieve 2, Saxony Lutheran 0

JACKSON
— Ste. Genevieve reached double figures in the win column by defeating Saxony Lutheran 25-19, 25-15 on Thursday night.

Senior Tisha Meyer led the Hunters (10-4-4) with seven kills and five assists. Liz Huck served eight points and made three kills, and Kristen Faulkner chipped in four assists.



Lesterville 2, Potosi 0

POTOSI
— The Potosi volleyball team dropped a home match for the first time this season on Thursday, as state-ranked Lesterville outlasted the Lady Trojans 25-23, 25-15.

Senior Lauren Aubuchon compiled eight kills and eight digs, and Ashley Thompson had five kills with three stuff-blocks for Potosi (8-8). Jordan Harbison dished out 21 assists and Melinda Bust brought up seven digs.
