FARMINGTON — Larry R. Mahurin (Little Banjo), 66, of Farmington passed away October 2, 2008 at his residence. He was born November 4, 1941 in Desloge, Mo.
He served in the US Navy; member of Hurryville Freewill Baptist Church; Masonic Lodge 598 of Leadwood; member of Teamsters and Carpenters Union.
Preceded in death by Parents, William and Flora (Strickland) Mahurin; Son, Larry Ray Mahurin Jr.; Brothers, Bobby Gene “Red” and wife Rachel Mahurin, Donald Lee “Big Banjo” Mahurin; Two Sisters, (stillborn) Wilma and Wanda; Sister, Geraldine “Deannie” Eaves.
Survived by Wife, Thelma (Grammond) Mahurin of Farmington; Two Sons, Mark A. Mahurin of Texas, Dakota R. Mahurin (Amanda Maxwell) of Park Hills; Three Daughters, Theresa D. (Mrs. Gary Carver) of Desloge, Lisa E. Mahurin of Blytheville, AR, Debra A. Mahurin-Brundage of Park Hills; Eight Grandchildren, Jamie (Mrs. Brandon Morgan), Jackie and Kristy Underwood, Cory Carver, Amie (Mrs. Nick Fraley), Dylan Brundage, Jessica Hatfield, Julie (Mrs. Chris Bermudez), Mark and Tori Mahurin; 10 Great-Grandchildren, Brianna and Emily Morgan, Ayanna, Jeremiah and Andrea Mahurin, Sade and Yasmine Bermudez, Angelia Hatfield, Keelie Underwood, Payton Chapman; Daddy’s Special Canine Friend, Poohbear; Two Sisters, Betty L. (Mrs. Paul Henroid) of Park Hills; Rheathal J. (Mrs. John Hardesty) of Farmington; Three Brothers, William S. “Sonny” (Joyce) Mahurin of West Columbia, TX, Francis D. “Butch” (Bonita) Mahurin of Desloge, James E. “Jimbo” (Betty Sue) Mahurin of Desloge; Sister-in-Law, Barb (Mrs. Donnie “Big Banjo” Mahurin) of Sweeny, TX.
Visitation at 3 p.m. Masonic Service 7 p.m., Friday, October 3, 2008 at C Z Boyer & Son Funeral Home in Desloge. Services at 1 p.m., Saturday, October 4, 2008 at C Z Boyer & Son Chapel with Rev. Ronald Graham. Interment at Parkview Cemetery.
