Valle picks up MAAA win, Potosi and Kingston tripped up

STE. GENEVIEVE — The West County Lady Bulldogs were treated to a conference loss by the Valle Lady Warriors on Monday. Valle won the match in two games 25-17, 25-14.

Valle controlled the game on offense making 19 kills to West County’s 3. Alli Dalton led the way with eight kills, and Kelly Hermann, Brittany Klump and Hannah Kuenzel had three kills each. Cassie Patterson led the Lady Bulldogs with two kills.

Taylor Beyatte made 14 assists for the Lady Warriors and Hermann made nine digs with Klump serving 12 points and Beyatte serving 11.

Rikki Lashley and Brittany Tongay led the Lady Bulldogs with seven service points each.

West County, 4-9, will be in action again on Thursday for their Senior Night against Kingston. Valle, 10-8-1 will host Arcadia Valley on Thursday.

De Soto 2, Potosi 0

POTOSI — The Potosi Lady Trojans just could not get their game all together against the De Soto Lady Dragons on Monday and the result was a De Soto 25-19, 25-10 win.

Ashley Thompson led the Lady Trojans in kills with seven to go along with her two blocks. Lauren Aubuchon had three kills and led in digs with five. Megan Rolens made three blocks, and Casey Nivens served three Potosi points.

The Trojans will travel to Farmington this evening to play a Conference game.

Grandview 2, Kingston 0

HILLSBORO — The Kingston Lady Cougars were roughed up a bit by the Grandview Lady Eagles on Monday, losing the match by a score of 25-12, 25-19.

Emilee Dicus led the team in kills with three. Miranda Politte made five assists and served seven Kingston points. Jacie Missey made two stuff blocks.

The Lady Cougars will be at home to play Bismarck tonight.

FALL BASEBALL

West County 8, Arcadia Valley 0

West County 9, Kingston 3

FRANKCLAY — The West County Bulldogs finished off their Fall season by holding their tournament, and winning two games gave them the championship trophy.

The Bulldogs beat the Arcadia Valley Tigers 8-0 in their first game. Trevor Kean pitched six innings of one hit, one walk, ball while striking out seven batters. Kean was also 2-4 at the plate.

Cody Watson was 2-3 with a double, Kyle Nettles hit a double and had four RBI, Justin Lashley was 1-3 and Alex Sutton finished 2-2.

The Bulldogs played  the Kingston Cougars in the championship game, and came out 9-3 winners. Tyler Stacey threw five innings, struck out five batters, walked five batters and gave up only one hit.

Nettles was 3-4 with a double, triple and a home run and two RBI. Brandon Turner, Coty Shannon and Zach Turner were all 1-3, Watson was 1-4, and Kean was 1-1 in hitting.
