A local musician is heading to Los Angeles to make it big. Buddy Iahn is a local resident who moved to Nashville two years ago in search of trying to make it big in the music world. Earlier this year he was at a party with a friend and was introduced to Scott Foster Harris and they began talking.

A connection was formed and the two began working things out for a band. Their first time playing together was in Clarksville, Tenn., around Valentines day, and two months later they went into the recording studio and began working on an album.

There are 10 songs completed on the 13 track album which will be completed soon. They will have six additional songs up on their website soon, which is Myspace.com/zenrizing.

They plan on leaving for Los Angeles on Oct. 17 and will be gone indefinitely. They intend to play up and down the west coast and have things set up through their manager who will stay in Nashville.

“We want to take it a step further and try L. A. The style we are, (Nashville hasn’t) grasped that yet. So we want to go somewhere where we can get more play,” Iahn said.

All the band members have a country background. They have either played or sang country, but when they got together it was all rock. The style of their music is described as Led Zeppelin meets the Doors and Pink Floyd.

“We have played and sacrificed everything for this. We have been playing in Nashville have been on radio stations and performed on air,” Iahn tells.

The other members of the band are Scott Foster Harris doing vocals, Steve Preach on guitar, Cody Duke plays bass, with Iahn on drums.
