Help bring holiday cheer to the hospitalized
The holiday season is fast approaching and Southeast Missouri Mental Health Center employees are preparing to spread Christmas cheer for the patients.
They are again asking for help in providing some of this spirit. If your organization would like to help with parties, performances or another form of entertainment, your time and talents would be appreciated. Your contribution added to those of our other supporters, will help provide a joyful Christmas for more than 130 people who are hospitalized during the 2008 holiday season.
The community support for Operation Hand-In-Hand has allowed the hospital to provide happy holiday memories for more than 39 years.
As in past years, they need gifts for men and women, 18 years of age and older. Many Christmas supporters prefer to send a check for staff to purchase gifts; others prefer to donate actual items. Either way is fine.
Gift suggestions include slippers, flannel shirts, sweatshirts, T-shirts, winter caps, gloves, socks, stationary, and craft supplies for decorating.
If you prefer sending money, please make a check payable to Operation Hand-In-Hand and send to Operation Hand-In-Hand, Southeast Missouri Mental Health Center, 1010 West Columbia Street, Farmington, MO 63640.
For more information, call 573-218-6730 or 573-218-6729 or for hearing-Impaired, 573-218-7018.
If donations can be received by Dec. 5, it would help Santa and his elves in their preparation. They ask that gift items not be wrapped.
