Two women hurt in two-car accident
Two women received minor injuries Thursday in a two-car accident in Washington County.
According to Missouri Highway Patrol reports, Cheryl A. Reed, 46, of Potosi, was westbound on Missouri 8 at Race Track Road at 9:05 a.m. when her 2006 Dodge Caravan slowed to make a right turn. A westbound 2008 Chevrolet Cobalt driven by Jessica L. Boyster, 18, of Mineral Point, struck the rear of the Caravan.
Both women were taken by ambulance to Washington County Memorial Hospital. Each had been wearing her seat belt.
Damage to both vehicles was listed as extensive and both were towed from the scene.
