U.S. Rep. Jo Ann Emerson recently returned from a troop visit to see Missouri National Guard members serving in Kosovo. Chairman of the House Armed Services Committee Ike Skelton and Adjutant General of the Missouri National Guard King Sidwell also went on the same trip.
“It is always great to see our Missouri troops while they are overseas and to bring them a little piece of home,” Emerson said. “I’m very glad I was able to spend some time with these Americans who are diligently serving our country.”
Emerson, Skelton and Gen. Sidwell met with senior non-commissioned officers, met with individual soldiers from towns in their Congressional districts, and held a town hall meeting with several hundred Missouri soldiers.
