Two Lady Cardinals make All-Region Team

PARK HILLS — The Region 16 Tournament was held at Mineral Area College with the semi-finals on Friday and the Championship Match on Saturday. Mineral Area lost to Jefferson College in the first semi-final match, and Missouri State University at West Plains won the second semi-final match over State Fair College.

The two winners faced off on Saturday with MSU-West Plains taking the championship honors in straight sets 25-17, 25-17, 25-19.

At the conclusion of the tournament the All-Region was announced and two players from the Lady Cardinals were named to the 12-member team.

Milica Balandzic and Bailey Stanley were both chosen by the four Region coaches, and they received the same number of votes. Both players are sophomores.

West Plains and Jefferson Colleges had four players each named to the team and State Fair had two along with Mineral Area. Below is the complete list and the points each player received.
