Accident injures Richwoods woman
A Richwoods woman suffered moderate injuries early Tuesday when the 2002 Dodge Neon in which she was riding struck a stopped 2004 Chevrolet Aveo in Jefferson County.
According to the Missouri Highway Patrol, Matthew W. Krulic, 37, of St. Louis, had stopped his eastbound Aveo at 2:50 a.m. to help the driver of a disabled vehicle on Route H, .1 mile west of Lynwood. Krulic has put his emergency flashers on.
Sammy L. Duncan, 48, of Richwoods was eastbound in the Neon. Duncan failed to yield to the stopped vehicles and the front of his vehicle struck the rear of the Aveo. Passenger Sharon Beppler, 57, was taken by ambulance to Jefferson Memorial Hospital. No injuries were listed for the drivers. All three were wearing seat belts.
Damage to the Aveo was listed as moderate. Damage to the Neon was listed as extensive.
A Fredericktown woman received minor injuries Tuesday when her 2000 Pontiac Grand Am struck a tree in St. Francois County.
According to the Highway Patrol, Lolly Olive, 55, was southbound at a high rate of speed for the road conditions on Highway 47 at 3:35 p.m. when her car slid off the left side of the road, north of Rocky Road. The vehicle then struck a tree.
Olive, who had been wearing a seat belt, was taken by ambulance to Parkland Health Center. Damage to the vehicle was listed as moderate.
