Hobby Lobby to open
Hobby Lobby Creative Centers, a privately held retail chain of more than 407 arts and crafts stores, will open a store in Arnold. The 45,000 square-foot facility will be located at Highway 141 at Jeffco Blvd. This is Hobby Lobby’s 17th store in Missouri. Anthony Stephens will be the store manager. The store will celebrate its grand opening on January 12. Arnold was chosen because it is a good location with solid trade area populations. “We are excited to become a part of the Arnold area, and we look forward to bringing our excellent customer service to the community,” says John Schumacher, assistant vice president of advertising. Hobby Lobby will offer crafts, hobbies, picture framing, jewelry making, fashion fabrics, floral, scrapbooking, cards and party, baskets, wearable art, home accents, holiday supplies and much more. Hobby Lobby will be open Monday through Saturday from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. and will employ 30 to 50 full and part-time employees. Hobby Lobby was founded in 1972 in Oklahoma City, OK with 300 feet of retail space. The chain has grown into 407 stores in 33 states and operates from a 3.4 million square-foot office, manufacturing and distribution center. For more information, visit www.hobbylobby.com.
