Firefighters were called to put out a fire early Christmas morning.
Assistant Big River Fire Chief Allen Stegall said they received the call at 3:01 a.m. When firefighters arrived at a single-wide trailer in the 9800 block of Silver Springs Road, at 3:09 a.m, the trailer was fully engulfed in flames.
The trailer was a total loss and the name of the owner was not immediately known.
No injuries were reported. Big River was assisted by firefighters from Bonne Terre, Desloge, Park Hills, Lake Timberline and DeSoto Rural.
The state fire marshal’s office was contacted to determine the cause of the fire. The cause has not been determined.
