Jerome Leslie, a Farmington resident, was inducted into the Missouri Valley College Athletic Hall of Fame on Oct. 28 in Marshall, Mo.
Leslie, who started as a center all three years of his football seasons at MVC, along with his other team members from 1958 were recognized for their outstanding team achievement.
The 1958 football team finished their regular season undefeated with an 8-0 record, and the Missouri Valley Vikings were chosen to play that year in the Tangerine Bowl in Orlando, Fla. against East Texas State.
Over half the team returned 50 years later to the Missouri Valley Campus for the traditional bonfire, brunch, induction ceremony and recognition on the field during the Homecoming game of the Missouri Valley Vikings.
