Washington County man dies in trailer fire
Early morning fire claims the life of 22-year-old Marty Drennen

A Washington County man was found dead inside a burning house trailer early Thursday morning , Sheriff Andy Skiles said on Friday.
Marty Drennen Jr., 22, was inside the home at 13209 Pond Creek Road, Mineral Point, when the fire was reported at 2:13 a.m. Thursday. When sheriff’s deputies arrived, the structure was fully engulfed in flames and had started to collapse.
Citizens at the scene told a deputy that someone could be inside. Firefighters found Drennen’s body as they were fighting the fire.
Cause of the fire had not been determined by Friday afternoon. The Missouri Fire Marshal’s Office and Washington County Sheriff’s Department are investigating.
Foul play is not suspected at this time, Skiles said on Friday.
