Charles Wells

BONNE TERRE — Charles L. Wells, 81 of Bonne Terre, Missouri was born in St. Louis on May 5, 1927 to the late Clarence L. and Mildred Richardson Wells. He departed this life as a result of an automobile accident on January 3, 2009.
He was united in marriage to Grace Wood in South Mills, North Carolina in 1944. On May 13, 1944 in St. Louis, Missouri he was inducted into the United State Navy. He received his Honorable Discharge in Jacksonville, Florida on March 4, 1948.
Before retiring he was employed as a Bailiff for the Federal Court. He was Owner/Developer of Ceder Lake, Bonne Terre, Missouri.
Survived by: Wife of 64 years, Grace Wells; daughter, Sharon Jordan; grandchildren, Graig, Chris and Ceth Jordan; seven great-grandchildren.
Mr. Wells was in the Anatomical gift program with St. Louis University Medical School. Coplin Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Memorials may be made to the St. Paul Lutheran church building fund, Farmington, Mo.
