The Farmington Community Civic Center is filling up for Jan. 24-25 and that has prompted Bill Towler to make a prediction.

“This will be the biggest and best Expo ever by far!” said the Center Director.

The Home and Outdoor Expo will welcome an estimated 4,000 people for the two-day free event that will showcase local products and businesses for indoors and outdoors. Towler said a number of companies will set up exhibits outdoors for such things as boats and motorcycles.

“You may not be able to go out on your boat or ride a motorcycle in winter, but you can come to the Expo and dream about owning one,” he said.

Booths are still available for vendors to showcase their products and services. A single 8 by 10-foot space costs $160 or with electric, $175.

To become an exhibitor, call Towler at 573-756-0900.

Coin collector and appraiser David Siebert is again inviting experts to offer free appraisals at the Expo. He will appraise Indian artifacts and coins at the Expo. John Kodner of Kodner Gallery in St. Louis will return this year to offer art appraisals on Saturday only. Other appraisals will be offered by experts in jewelry and general antiques. Those who attend the Expo may bring their items to be examined.  Some appraisers may even offer to buy some of what they see.

The Blue Owl Restaurant in Kimmswick will also have a booth at the event and offer free samples, along with their famous fabulous desserts for sale.

Towler said there are a number of businesses at the show for the first time this year who have recognized the value in being able to show their products to a crowd at one location over two days.

Businesses already registered for the event include: Cable Direct TV, Bauer Chiropractic, Farmington Fire Dept., Skaggzzz Sleep Institute, Kammermans, New Image Aesthetics and Laser Center, The UPS Store, All Star Dips, Schaefer Water Centers, Creative Memories, Cloud 9 Impressions, Juice Plus, Woods Basements Systems, NCH Desloge, Shandi Shores World Travel, Butterfield Gardens, Pyramid Home Health Services, HospiceCare/Carter’s Clubhouse, Carpet One Floor and Home, Techno Wizard LLC, Electric Car Company, Show Me Rent-to-Own, The Blind Depot, Presbyterian Hospice, Hastings Hobbies and More, The Body Shop at Home, YMCA Trout Lodge and Camp Lakewood, Twin City Marine, Wachovia Securities, Energy Doctor of Southeast Missouri, Just for Her, K and K Auto Cosmetics, Owens Enterprises, Mary Kay, Surdyke Motorsports, Edward Jones, Cabinetry Plus, Midwest Sports Center, Home Care Nursing, Inc., Family Center and Mineral Area Monument.

The show will be open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Jan. 24 and from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Jan. 25.  It is co-sponsored by the Civic Center, the Daily Journal and B-104 FM.
