COLUMBIA, Mo. (AP) — Missouri All-American Jeremy Maclin, who led the nation in all-purpose yardage as a sophomore, will announce on Friday whether he’ll enter the NFL draft.
Several mock drafts have rated Maclin as a first-round pick, some projecting him for the top 10. Maclin was non-committal during the season, although he said he would not leave college if he wasn’t going to be a first-round draft choice.
The university says coach Gary Pinkel and offensive assistant Andy Hill also will attend the 11 a.m. news conference at the athletic training complex.
Maclin totaled 2,833 all-purpose yards, fifth-most in NCAA history. He ignited Missouri’s comeback victory in the Alamo Bowl with a third-quarter punt return, then caught the game-winning touchdown pass in overtime.
