MAAA Conference holds full slate of games on Tuesday

FREDERICKTOWN — The Central Rebels received a five hit shut-out performance from their pitcher T.C. Jennings, and the Rebels showed their appreciation by allowing him an inning off, scoring a 10-0 win in the sixth inning.
Jennings walked only one batter and struck out six, but his game was highlighted by his performance at the plate as well. Jennings was 4-4 on the day with a triple and four RBI.
The Rebels accumulated 15 hits with Dale Mosier hitting three, including a double, Luke Baker had two singles, and Daniel Holloway, C.J. Bland, Travis Brotherton, Tanner Skaggs, Garrett Manion, and Ryan Calvird had one single each.
Central (5-2) will travel to Mississippi to play in the Southhaven Tournament this weekend with their first game on Thursday against DeSoto Central.
North County 14, Ste. Genevieve 1
STE. GENEVIEVE — Derek Gibson highlighted a huge offensive game with a three-run homer to center field, and Cody Huff collected four hits on Tuesday to lead North County past Ste. Genevieve 14-1 in conference action.
Senior Jake Cavins (3-0) allowed just four hits while going the distance on the mound, posting nine strikeouts and walking two as the Raiders (7-1) claimed their sixth straight win.
Gibson finished 3-for-4 overall with six RBI, and Huff was a perfect 4-for-4 with two doubles in the victory. North County produced 17 hits as a squad, and tallied six runs in the fourth inning to seize full control.
Derek Emily drove in two runs with a 3-for-5 effort at the plate, while Matt Robinson, Jordan Thompson and Cavins added two singles each. Will Swofford also picked up a hit.
North County improved to 2-0 in MAAA Large-School play, and will host Union this afternoon.
West County 15, Arcadia Valley 5
LEADWOOD — The West County Bulldogs bounced back from their only loss on Monday to jump all over the Arcadia Valley Tigers on Tuesday for a 15-5 win.
Kyle Nettles pitched three innings for the win, striking out four batters and allowing only one run. Coty Shannon and Kyle Harrison led the team in hitting with three hits each including a double. Cody Watson was 2-2 with a home run and three RBI, and Nettles was also 2-2 with a double. Brandon Turner and Michael Harp had two hits apiece with both hitting a triple.
Tyler Stacy, Jeremy Hampton, Bryant Wolfin, Jesse Waters and Zac Turner all ha one single each.
Jacob Spitzmiller hit a triple for the Tigers, and Garrett Campbell, Williams Benson and Richard Tedford hit two singles each.
West County is now 7-1 and will play next on Monday when they will host the Lesterville Bearcats.
Valle 5, Bismarck 3
BISMARCK — The Valle Warriors moved their winning streak another notch with a hard-fought battle against the Bismarck Indians, and the Warriors were able to hang on for a 5-3 win.
The Warriors held a 5-1 lead going into the bottom of the third, but relief pitcher Luke Uding was greeted with a home run by Robbie Eichenberger to start the bottom of the third inning.
Wade Roth took over to start the fourth for the Bulldogs. Relinquishing only one run in the fourth, Roth shut down the Indians over the last three innings for the win.
The Warriors had eight hits in the game, Nathan Geile and Cole Bieser both hit one double, and Aaron Basler, Zach Weiler, Michael Greminger, Jason Blum, Christian Moulton, and Uding all had one single each.
Adding to Eichenberger’s home run, Drew Rokiski hit a double, and Cody Goodson had two singles for the Indians.
Valle (7-0) will play in the Kickapoo Tournament this Thursday. Bismarck (4-3) will travel to Grandview on Friday for their next game.
