Hale named as varsity coach
By MARIDEE LAWSON
Farmington boys basketball has a new head coach for the 2009-2010 school year. Brett Hale was named as the new varsity boys basketball coach to replace retiring coach Joe Arnold.
“We are excited about Brett leading the program. He comes from a family with a strong basketball background. He’s familiar with the kids and the program,” said Farmington Athletic Director Pat Burns.
Brett grew up and played basketball for Dexter High School. He then went on to play at Southeast Missouri State University. His dad is a Missouri Hall of Fame basketball coach.
“I am excited. It’s going to be challenging. We lost a lot of good seniors and its just going to be rebuilding but it will be good,” said Hale.
There are a few coming back from last year that were on varsity and the junior varsity. Hale was the Farmington junior varsity coach last year.
