DESLOGE — The North County Rush completed their sweep of Saturday’s doubleheader over the Potosi Swarm with an 12-9 offensive battle. (See Saturday’s Daily Journal for game one.)
Jared Jones pitched the first four innings for the Rush and they held their lead for him to get the win with Kolten Poorman mopping things up for the save. Jones struck out seven Swarm batters, and Poorman had two K’s.
Karson Kekec (3-3) and Jones (2-3) both hit two triples for the Rush. Holden Mayberry was 3-3 with a single, double and triple. Dillon Manion was 2-4 with a triple, and Briley Smith had two singles and Eli Claywell chipped in one more.
Jordan Huerta pitched the entire game for the Swarm, striking out two batters and going 3-5 at the plate with a home run and a triple. Jared Portell was 2-4 with a double, Ethan Nixon was 2-3, and Zach Price was 2-4.
The Rush are now 7-1 in the Cal Ripken Minor League and will travel on Saturday to play the Leadwood Bulldogs. The Swarm are 1-7 and will play at the Farmington Hustle on Saturday.
Broncos 14, Hustle 4
Broncos 15, Hustle 2
FARMINGTON — The Farmington Broncos swept a Cal Ripken Minor double-header from the cross-town hustle with shortened triumphs of 14-4 and 15-2 on Saturday evening.
Winning pitcher Gunner Labrot went 2-for-3 with a triple, and Larry Landers singled twice in game one. Jacob Bone and Ryan Propst added doubles for the Broncos, who scored six second-inning runs to pull away.
Brayden Rawson pitched a two-hitter in game two and finished 3-for-3 at the plate with a double. Brayden Moon was also 3-for-3 in the victory with a double and triple.
Justin Lawson collected two hits along with Labrot and Bone, as the Broncos erupted for 10 runs in the second.
Blair Boyd went 2-for-3 in game one and Tristan Brown doubled during the nightcap for the Hustle.
13 YEAR OLD LEAGUE
Raiders 5, Astros 4
PARK HILLS — The North County Raiders jumped out to a 4-0 lead in the first inning and then held on by the thinnest of margins, scoring what would be the game-clincher in the top of the sixth for a 5-4 win over the Park Hills Astros.
Blake Dixon was the winning pitcher with eight strike-outs. Levi Spray and Seth Tiefenauer were both 2-4 with Tiefenauer hitting a double. Dixon was 2-3, Austin Tounsand hit a double and Dyllon Parmley had a single.
The Raiders are now 6-0 and will travel to play the Caledonia Falcons on Saturday, and the Astros will play next at Caledonia on June 27.
Falcons 12, Bearcats 10

CALEDONIA — The Caledonia Falcons picked up their first two wins of the summer season Saturday night, posting finals of 12-10 and 10-2 over the visiting Farmington Bearcats.
Conner Dixon pitched six innings for the win, and Nick Province worked the seventh to save the opening contest. Nine different Falcons collected hits, including Austin Wigger with two singles.
The Falcons (2-4) scored seven times in the third inning, and turned a key double play after the Bearcats rallied for five runs in the sixth.
Province tossed a complete game and also doubled in game two. Wigger continued his strong night with three hits, and Dylan Isgrig notched a early RBI by executing a squeeze play.
CAL RIPKEN LEAGUE
Royals 9, Cougars 5
PARK HILLS — The Park Hills Royals and Arcadia Valley Cougars played a make-up game on Saturday from an earlier rain-out and the Royals pushed their record above .500 with a 9-5 win.
The Royals (7-6) received a clutch performance by pitcher Kody Lachance with eight strike-outs in the six-inning game.
Brandon Richardson hit a double for the Royals and Austin Beavers, Brennan White, Nick Haney and Austin Thebeau had one single each.
Hayden Helvey had two singles for the Cougars, and Collin Tedford, Logan Garrett, Austin Earnest, Ace Armstrong, Tyler Garrish and Garrett Wilfong each had one.
The Royals will play at the Farmington Longhorns tonight, and the Cougars will host the Leadwood Eagles with both games starting at 6 p.m.
BANTAM LEAGUE
Bombers 1, Rockets 0
BONNE TERRE — Joel Strauser scored on a bases-loaded walk to Cody Boylan in the third inning, and the Bonne Terre Bombers edged the previously unbeaten Park Hills Rockets 1-0 on Sunday afternoon.
Cody Hubbard, Dawson Harper, Lucas Spray and Nick Parker all singled for the Bombers (10-2), who maintained their first-place standing in the Bantam League American Division.
The Rockets (11-1) received five total hits from Conner Hagerty, Jace Bland, Gage Manion, Dillon Manion and Bradey Clark.
Mustangs 4, Wolves 0
PARK HILLS — Alex England was near ultimate-perfect in pitching to only 16 batters over five innings with 15 strike-outs and only one walk. England’s no-hitter gave the Farmington Mustangs a 4-0 win over the Park Hills Wolves in Bantam League action Friday night.
England also shone at the plate with a home run for the 10-1 Mustangs. Drew Adams was 2-2, Braydon Bowling hit a double, and Alex Palmer hit a single for Farmington’s only five hits in the game.
The Mustangs play their last scheduled game tonight with the Farmington Giants at Doe Run, and still have a make-up to be played with the Park Hills Rockets. The Wolves (2-8) play tonight at the Potosi Yellowjackets with three games still to be made up.
Stars 9, Outlaws 3
FARMINGTON — Hunter Drake compiled 11 strikeouts while pitching a six-hitter on Friday night, and the Bismarck Stars secured a 9-3 road win over the Farmington Outlaws.
Austin Jarvis ripped two triples among his three hits at the plate, and Timmy Mork added another triple for the Stars.
Alex Greco singled twice and Garrett Holt tripled for the Outlaws.
