Rams face hard sell rest of season

ST. LOUIS (AP) — Plenty of tickets remain available for the last five St. Louis Rams home games. That’s what an 0-7 record and 17-game losing streak will do for you.

Chief operating officer Kevin Demoff says the team will have to work to avoid TV blackouts. The schedule has done the Rams no favors, either, although Demoff adds, “It’s the opponents, not the dates.”

Three games — Nov. 29 against the Seahawks, Dec. 20 against the Texans and the Jan. 3 season finale against the 49ers — fall near holidays. After next week’s bye week St. Louis has three straight home games — not ideal for a team that’s struggling.

The Rams played four of their first six games on the road. Demoff said scheduling early season home games is difficult because many support personnel, such as concessions workers and ushers, also work at St. Louis Cardinals games.
