Joan Pogue Crippen
Joan Pogue Crippen, 67, of Fredericktown died September 27, 2009 at her residence in Fredericktown.

She was born May 13, 1942 at Fredericktown, Missouri the daughter of Floyd and Vera             (Smallen) Pogue.

Mrs. Crippen was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Darrell Pogue and Dallas Pogue; and one sister, Shirley Ivison.

She is survived by her husband Dennis Crippen whom she married on January 7, 1963 at Nogalas, Mexico; one son, Danny A. Crippen of Farmington; two daughters, Cheryl R. Crippen of Sharpsburg, Georgia and Alta L. Crippen of Fredericktown; two brothers, Gary Pogue and Sam Pogue; three sisters, June Berry, Alta McClellan and Linda Boswell; and six grandchildren.

Mrs. Crippen was a member of Silvermines General Baptist Church. She enjoyed reading, hummingbirds, family time and writing books.

Services were held September 30, 2009 at Follis and Sons Chapel with Pastor Brad Crocker officiating. Burial was at Oak Grove Cemetery.

Pallbearers were: Randy Pogue, Garry Pogue, Justin McClellan, Michael McClellan, Jason Sikes and Ricky Pogue. Honorary pallbearers were: Shawn Crippen, Keandre Eddings, Jonah Joy and Daniel Crippen Jr.
