Arthur “Jack” Higbee, 96, of Fredericktown died October 6, 2009 at Mineral Area Regional Medical Center in Farmington.

He was born September 12, 1913 at Elvins, Missouri, a son of Sam and Sophia Higbee.

On March 3, 1938 he was united in marriage to Glenda at Fredericktown.

Mr. Higbee was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Glenda Higbee; two brothers, Edward Higbee and Elery Higbee; and two sisters, Aldean           (Higbee) Griffin and Auna (Higbee) Isabel.

He is survived by two sons, Ron Higbee of Daytona Beach Shores, Florida and Jim Higbee of Frisco, Texas.

Mr. Higbee had two grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

 He was a member of the Fredericktown Christian Church and enjoyed fishing and camping.

Services were held October 9, 2009 at Follis and Sons Chapel with the Reverend Wesley Knight officiating. Burial was at Marcus Memorial Park Cemetery in Fredericktown.
