Gordon Lindsey Sr

Gordon Lindsey Sr., 64, of Lake Wappapello, died October 9, 2009, at  ClaRu DeVille Nursing Center in Fredericktown.

He was born January 22, 1945, in St. Louis, a son of Benjamin and Waunita (Blue) Lindsey. 

On June 15, 1975, he was married to Pat (Allgier) Cook, who survives in Mine LaMotte.

Mr. Lindsery Sr. is also survived by two sons, Gordon Lindsey Jr. and Allen Cook; two daughters, Kim Underwood and Missy Roach all of Fredericktown; three brothers, Jack Lindsey of Mine LaMotte, Joe  Lindsey and Albert "Weegee" Lindsey all of Fredericktown; three sisters, Doris Jean Barger of Doe Run, Bessa Lee Starkey of Mine LaMotte and Lorna "Tuttie" Van Huss of Wappapello; eleven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

His parents and brothers, Michael, Nelson, Darrell, and Dewey, preceded him in death.

Mr. Lindsey was a United States Army veteran.

He was a self-employed certified electrician and enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time with his family.

 Services were held October 13, 2009 at Wilson Funeral Home, with Brother Raymond Michaels officiating. Burial was at the Christian Cemetery in Fredericktown.

Pallbearers were: Billy Lindsey, Albert “Weegee” Lindsey, Joe Lindsey, David Van Huss, Harold Van Huss, Travis Lindsey and Ben Lindsey.
