Admittedly thousands of Farmington residents turn on a faucet or flush a toilet countless times a day without giving a passing thought to Eddie Hull. But a group of his peers have noted his dedication to the city’s water and sewer systems.
Hull was recently honored with an Award of Merit from the Missouri Water and Wastewater Conference. The conference is made up of professionals in fields pertaining to water and wastewater management.
Hull began work with the city on July 21, 1982. A decade later he rose to the rank of assistant superintendent of the water and sewer department. Then in 2000 he was named superintendent of the city utilities. All total he’s worked for Farmington for 27 years.
Mayor Stuart “Mit” Landrum delivered the award to Hull during the last week’s council work session. Afterward Hull said it was nice to be recognized by his peers, even though he was simply doing his job for the city.
