The following is a list of events related to the Farmington R-7 School District.
The list includes:
• Congratulations to the Black Knight Marching Band on their season ending performances on Saturday, October 24, 2009. At the Greater St. Louis Marching Band Festival, at the Edward Jones Dome, the band finished in 8th place in "Red Division" competition (band size). And at the Ste. Genevieve Marching Band Festival, the band finished in 1st place in MSHSAA Class 4 competition. The band recorded the highest score of the festival as well. The BKMB Color Guard and Drum line were both awarded "outstanding performance" awards, sweeping all captions. The band will perform at the St. Francois County Courthouse on Wednesday, November 11, 2009 for the Veteran's Day Ceremony beginning at 10:40 am.
• Friday, October 30th the elementary schools will hold fall harvest parties.
• Sunday, November 1st there will be a basketball officials clinic held at Farmington High School beginning at 1:30 PM. The clinic will be designed for officials who want to work the various AAU leagues that are held in the Mineral Area. The clinic is free of charge and will consist of classroom and on-court training. • Tuesday, November 3rd Washington-Franklin Elementary will hold their monthly PTG meeting at 6:00 PM.
• Tuesday, November 3rd Washington-Franklin Elementary will have Papa John’s night. Portions of the proceeds made will be donated to Washington-Franklin Elementary.
• Wednesday, November 11th the Farmington Schools will celebrate Veteran’s Day by holding their annual Veteran’s Breakfast. Breakfast will be served from 7:30 AM to 9:00 AM at each school campus. Spouses are welcome to attend.
• Friday, November 13th school will not be in session for teacher professional development.
• Thursday, November 19th Lincoln Intermediate Center will hold a Russian Kaleidoscope assembly.
• Saturday, November 21st the high school LMC will hold a practice ACT test. The test begins promptly at 9:00 AM. Students must sign up in the LMC to take the test.
• Wednesday, November 25th school will dismiss at 12:00 PM for the Thanksgiving break and school will not be in session on Thursday, November 26th and Friday, November 27th. Scholl will resume Monday, November 30th.
