Trivia night for homeless shelter
A trivia night will be held next month to raise money for the local homeless shelter.
The trivia night for Shared Blessings will be held Nov. 14 at Roseners Banquet Hall in Park Hills. Cost is $10 per person. There can be up to 10 people on a team.
The complimentary food bar will begin at 6 p.m. with trivia starting at 7 p.m. Kimball Crum will be the host.
To register, call Charlene at 573-358-2686 or Glenda at 358-1700.
The homeless shelter reopened on Oct. 17 after being closed two months for electrical problems. The shelter has also hired a full-time caretaker for the shelter.
The current shelter is located on First Street in East Bonne Terre. They had planned to expand on that site until businessman Sharo Shirshekan decided to give the group a former nursing home building on Grove Street in Bonne Terre. He plans to fix it up to make it inhabitable for the group.
Charlene Huskey, co-founder of the group, said volunteers are needed to help with running the shelter.
