Mineral Area College horticulture students recently teamed up with Master Gardeners to separate some ornamental grasses that had grown over-large at Farmington Public Library. Horticulture Instructor Chad Follis said the project was all about giving back to the community while providing valuable horticulture instruction to the students. Some of the students who helped with the project were, from left: Angie Steele of Potosi, Melva Moore of Fredericktown, Ronnie Skiles of Potosi, Rachel McEwen of Potosi. Not pictured were Jacie Evans of Desloge, and Joann Casteel of Bismark. Some of the divided grasses will be used by the Master Gardeners to landscape the next Habitat for Humanity home in St. Francois County. - Submitted photo
