St. Joseph students Walk for Life
Students at St. Joseph Catholic School in Farmington walked 2 miles on Friday to support the Parkland Pregnancy Resource Center (PPRC). The students carried signs on which was printed “Walk” “For” and “Life.”
The PPRC sponsors a Walk for Life to raise funds for their center in Park Hills. Participants could walk with the group on Saturday or walk their 2 miles anytime on their own.
St. Joseph students walked seven laps around the parish and school grounds to achieve their 2 miles. Kindergartners through grade 2 were paired with older students for the walk. A total of 110 students plus faculty and parents participated in the walk. Students were able to raise $1,210 from walk sponsors for the PPRC.
St. Joseph’s Student Council coordinated the student walk and encouraged participation. Student Council Vice President Andi Petty commented, “It was cold and long, but it was for a good cause.”
