LAWRENCE, Kan. (AP) — Douglas County prosecutors have granted a diversion to Kansas basketball player Brady Morningstar after his arrest for driving under the influence.
The 23-year-old Morningstar also was fined $500 as part of the diversion sentence for his Oct. 3 arrest, which included charges of speeding and failing to keep his car in a single lane.
Court records indicate that the junior guard had nearly twice the legal limit of alcohol in his system when he was pulled over on the Kansas Turnpike just east of Lawrence.
Morningstar was suspended from playing in any games during the first semester.
